Small to Medium Size Enterprise [SMEs] plays a huge pivotal role in any economy. SMEs account for about 90% of firms and 70% of jobs. It is therefore essential for each one of us to play a part in ensuring the survivability and thriving of SMEs in all range of industries. We are seeing an increase in financial support, tax relief and grants from the government to SMEs in a whole range of sectors. While such grants can be beneficial, it does not necessarily set up firms to thrive in the long term nor assist in combating the many challenges of the future that SME's are facing or might face such as the pressure to keep up with digitalization, the advent of Artificial Intelligence, pressure to decarbonize and securing bright talents.
